We will choose the Raspberry Pi 4 and the Raspberry Pi zero 2 w for our developments. But we still keep an eye on alternatives. During the last Corona only used devices where an option for us personally to buy. This is good news. At least the armbian forum has a forum which is used by Orange SBCs developers. And there is also support for it. All of these Orange Pi’s only have a small community. But by experience it is worth to keep an eye on alternatives to the Raspberry Pi’s. For us personally, it is not interesting to use single board computer as desktop computers:
But if we should manage to get some software running on Orange Pi SBCs, for instance the OpenBCI GUI and some Python code, this could be a reason to switch from Rasbperry Pi to Orange. And we think it is worth testing both SBCs for our application.
