Milarepa is said to be a mass murderer who killed more than 80 people:

But which scientists of the 21th century believe this? Was he not rather a crazy psychologically noticeable person as a young man who later on healed himself?

For us personally interesting are are also the students and the lineage of Milarepa

  • Gampopa was a disciple of Milarepa
  • Milarepa belonged to the Kagyü-Schule
  • Kagyü is translated the lineage of the sacred world

We have also a Drukpa-Kagyü school in Switzerland today, which is lead by Lama Pema Wangyal:

The Drukpa Kagyu school has a history of more than 800 years. This lineage was founded by the great master Tsangpa Gyare in the 12th century in Tibet.

  • But there is no direct connection between Milarepa and the Drukpa Kagyu as far as we know.
  • Naropa who lived in India was Marpas Master
  • And Marpa was a translator who translated Indian texts into Tibetan language.
  • Similar to Matthieu Ricard who translated Tibetan teachings into French and English language.

And Marpa traveled with Milarepa to Naropa in India where Milarepa received the whole teaching who to get enlightened in one lifetime:

And to be enlightened is according to the Buddhist teachings equivalent with completely mentally healthy. So can we conclude that Milarepa who was a crazy psychologically noticeable man when he was young and then he became enlightened which means completely mentally healthy?

And would this not be something which is very interesting also for the scientists of the 21th? Scientists who are interested in mental health?

Furthermore Milarepa was declared to be a saint which means that he had let an unblemished life, which means that Milarepa is a guiding star even for students of the 21 th. century, since there is not the slightest controversy about Milarepa.
