Rob ter Horst tests the accuracy of tons of consumer grade sports watches, watch 1, watch 2, watch 3, watch 3 before the firmware update, watch 3 after the firmware update. But does not make more sense the develop a heart rate monitor which is highly accurate, write a validation paper about it, and publish it in a high quality scientific journal?
