- The Odroid XU4 was released 5 years ago, but it is still powerful enough for our own special application.
- The advantage to buy it in Switzerland is to have a 24 month warranty time.
- If you use it as a daily driver this is a big advantage.
- We tested Ubuntu Mate already on a Raspberry Pi 4 and where happy with it. It is a real desktop operating system but is better for SBCs than Ubuntu desktop.

- LibreOffice runs reasonably fast.
- Thunderbird can be used as e-mail app.
The advantage of the LattePanda V1 over the Odroid-XU4 is, that it has an Intel Atom X86 processor instead of an ARM based processor. If we want for instance to run Python LSL or if we want to install the Home Assistant x86 image on a single board computer, which allows editing of YAML files we can choose an LattePanda V1. The mentioned features will not run on an ARM based platform.
