Moses, Jesus, Guru Nanak, Yogi Bajan & Niklaus von Flue – all of these where spiritual leaders but do they have things in common?

God spoke to Moses, and the name of God was «I am who I am» as God said to Moses:

But Moses doubted that the Israelis whould believe him when he would say to those God has told this to him and what to do. But God new how to solve this problem. A piece of wood became a snake, and a diseased hand became healed. And this should help that the Israelis would believe what Moses said.

Similar things happend to Jesus. The wholy ghost came down from heaven in the form of a dove, and a voice from heaven talked to Jesus from a cloud and said to him «you are my beloved sun, I am pleased with you». And from this moment on Jesus defined himself as God’s son.

Guru Nanak, founder of the Sikism was looking for God as well. But he did not find him in a burning busch or speaking from a cloud.

Guru Nanak is said to have heard a divine voice as a young man commanding him to teach faith in one God:

But from where did this voice speak? Guru Nanak was looking for God outsite of him but he did not find him there. He has spent many days in a river, and then had his «enlightement». After that Guru Nanak wrote down the prayer Japji Sahib. In this prayer it says:

There is Only One God
Truth is His Name

If anyone presumes to describe God, he shall be known as the greatest fool of fools

Yogi Bhajan, a student of Guru Nanak said, if you do not find God within yourself you do not find God at all. This tragedy has ruined man kind of many centuries:

And today some of our teenagers and childern are confused because we did not teach them to find God within themselves.

Niklaus von Flue made similar experiences. At the age of 50 he started to life his live in solitary retreat. He was guided by visions to the place where he lived for the rest of his live in retreat. He is well known to be a political advisor who helped the Swiss to prevent a civil war. And only 500 years later the Pope in Rome declaired that Niklaus von Flue is a Saint. How did this happen?

During the second world war, people in Switzerland saw a hand in the cloud who protected those from the German invasion. It is called the «Miracle of Waldburg»:

«In 1940, on the evening of May 13th, something strange happened: In the cloudless sky above the Basel village of Waldenburg, a huge, glowing hand manifested itself in a protective posture. Almost everyone in the village as well as the soldiers stationed on site witnessed this apparition, which lasted around 20 minutes. Many agreed: This couldn’t have just been a freak of nature, but rather just the hand of the country’s father, Brother Klaus – he saved Switzerland from war that day. This belief may have been strengthened in view of the events further north: on the day of the apparition, the Germans launched their successful invasion of France.»

For the people in Switzeland, this miraculous hand of Niklaus von Flue in the cloud prevented the Germans to invade Switzerand, They invaded into France instead. In the Catholic church that a person is declared as a saint requires several miracles, and this mirace was one of those.

Moses experienced God as a voice talking to him from a burning bush, Jesus a voice talking from a cloud, but Guru Nanak found God within himself. Many things have been written about these spritual leaders. But what they experienced has similarties. And if we compare these to each other we eventually can unterstand these better.
