- We are happy that there is an usb2 extension board available from Mango Pi extension, which eventually solves the problem with usb-c hubs and usb hats:
- This could solve the problems Mango PI SBCs have with Debian or Armbian, or even get to get an OS installed with works on these devices.
- But for some application it is better to have an usb-c connector or an usb3 hat, as for instance for
- to connect hard drives
- add an existing WiFi network
- get rid of all cables but the power, as gounthar proposed and failed due to lack of usb-c support for the Mango Pi MQ quat:
- an usb-c hub or an usb2 or usb3 hat can increase the number of applications for which a SBC can be used dramatically, as this example shows:
- also adding an external SSD to boot from does this not only make sense if there is a usb-c hub or usb3 hat available which works?
