20 years after the study “Long-term meditators self-induce high-amplitude gamma synchrony during mental practice” – which Meditation Research Institutes exist around the world?

In 2004, the group of Richard Davidson published a paper about:

«Long-term meditators self-induce high-amplitude gamma synchrony during mental practice»

https://www.pnas.org/doi/full/10.1073/pnas.0407401101

in

PNAS

Matthieu Ricard, Buddhist monk with a PhD. in Cellular Genetics who participated in this study called this paper a paper which might be revolutionary:

Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org calls this paper revolutionary, since it was revolutionary for him personally and his life.

As a consequence of the PNAS paper from 2004, the:

Meditation Research Institute at Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama in India

was founded in in 2005 to bring together the ancient wisdom of the Himalayan tradition and contemporary science:

The Meditation Research Institute at Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama in India has published scientific papers about meditation up to 2017, with for instance the authors:

EEGLAB developer Arnaud Delorme

&

Psychiatrist and Neuroscientist Rael B. Cahn, MD. PhD.

The last scientific paper which was published there which we know is:

Increased Gamma Brainwave Amplitude Compared to Control in Three Different Meditation Traditions:

published in PLOS ONE in the year .2017. In this paper, changes in gamma wave activity in the parieto-occipital area where observed induced by practicing meditation. In contrast to this, in the PNAS paper from 2004 changes where observed in the left prefrontal lobe during practicing meditation.

The Meditation Research Institute Switzerland (MRIS)

was founded in 2019

The goal of the Meditation Research Institute Switzerland (MRIS) is to study the effect of practicing meditation on physiological parameters.

The MRIS does not have published any scientific papers to this date and is a private project of Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org on Peter Gamma’s personal website:
