Jacob Crumes user report inspired us to install LibreOffice on our PinePhone to often edit documents with it as well. Here is our user report:

  • We miss a demo of Jacob how he installed LibreOffice on the PinePhone.
  • We miss a demo of Jacob where he shows us how LibreOffice is usuable on the PinePhone.
  • We miss a demo of Jacob where he installs Abiword and Gnumeric on the PinePhone.
  • We miss a demo of Jacob where he shows us that Abiword and Gnumeric is usable on the PinePhone.
  • We miss a demo of Jacob where he compares Abiword and Gnumeric to the Flatpak version of Libreoffice, and shows us the pros and the cons of the different installations.

  • We are very disappointed that Jacob deleted our detailed comment about his user report on FOSS News, where we described very detailed these issues here in a constructive way, and described solutions how they can be solved.
  • We wanted to add this text here as a comment to Jacobs user experience report about the Pinephone, but Jakob deleted our comment. We are very disappointed about Jacob that is not willing to participate in resolving issues with the Pinephone in a constructive way.
  • Jakob does not support us to solve a problem we had we LibreOffice on the Pinephone.
  • Instead of that, he removes information which could be helpful for others who have the same problem we had.
  • He deletes information about an issue and deletes information about how the issue can be solved.
  • This rises questions about the quality of his user report about LibreOffice and the Pinephone.
  • This rises questions about the quality of Jakobs support for the Pinephone and LibreOffice.
