CPU of the Radxa Zero: Amlogic 64-bit Quad-core Processor
- The Amlogic S905Y2 is a 64-bit quad-core processor is an exceptional feature of the Radxa Zero.
- This cpu includes support for hardware acceleration of video decoding, which allows it to handle high-definition video playback with low power consumption – perfect for an SBC
- It’s not common to see a processor of this tier on a board this small
- CPU speed is 1,8 GHz
- Why do we not have more software example running on the Radxa Zero, and that is mainly games?
- After a first look, we saw, that this processor is also used in TV boxes. Is this the main application for this CPU?
CPU of the MangoPi MQ-QUAD: All winner H616 4 ARM cortex A 53
- This CPU is a good processor choice for a wide range of applications such as
- mobile
- automotive
- networking
- storage
- aerospace

The MangoPi MQ-QUAD should be able to support:
- Ubuntu
- Armbian
- and other GNU/Linux-based operating systems that
support the Allwinner H616 processor
- as well as the Tina Linux
(embedded software designed for devices with
Allwinner chips)

Issues of the Mango Pi MQ-Quad SBC
- So there is no Armbian or Fedora image available for this device, which would be our preferred choice.
- There is more software support for Raspberry Pi’s than for this device.
- The MangoPi MQ-QUAD includes a graphical processor unit, but unfortunately, in the review video on the previous post in this journal, there is not demo available which shows an operating system at work and shows it’s performance.
