- Would it not be great to have the same OS on your Linux mini PC as on your desktop, and be able to connect those in an easy way via ethernet cable and to share network drives in an easy way? We suggest the following procedure:
- Use the first release of Fedora on Raspberri Pi 4 as shown here:
- Can we live with the shown issues? If so, we can add an official 7 inch Raspberry Pi display which should be touchable with Fedora and the Raspberry Pi4. There is an issue about this topic in the Fedora documentation which seems to be solved.
- Raspberry Pi CM4 modules with IO extension boards with m2 SSD connectors are available for about 130 USD on the market. This is about as much as the price for a LattePanda V1. Are the prices for these devices linked to each other? So why to buy then a Linux mini PC instead of a Windows 10 LattePanda V1? If we want a Linux solution sooner or later everywhere, since we want to say goodbye to Microsoft, we have Fedora in our pocket as a first step. Microsoft makes it difficult to connect Linux phones and Linux mini PC to Windows 10. This is what we basically have learned from wibble in the Pine64 forum.
- And then we have our Swiss friend Andreas Spiess which shows us an affordable Raspberry Pi 4 alternative for desktops:
Where we can install Fedora as well. So what do you want more from the Swiss consulting team?
