- The Ri mini 4 offers 2.4 Ghz pairing over it’s own usb dongle, which seems to be the only paring method with works with the Orange Pi 5.
- The Rii mini 8 is newer than the Rii mini 4 and offers additionally as scrool weel.
- The Rii mini 4 has dual support support for Bluetooth as well as 2.4 GHz with usb dongle, but not the Rii mini 8, which is only single mode over 2.4 Ghz.
- There are a lot of Bluetooth mini keyboards, but we do not know of anybody who has delivered a proof of function that it is possible to use a Bluetooth keyboard with the Orange Pi 5.
- The Rii mini 4 is part of the Crosstalk Solution kit for the Orange Pi 5:
https://kit.co/crosstalk/orange-pi-5
- and Crosstalk Solution says that it works.
- It is the only mini keyboard we know which someone says it works with the Orange Pi5.
- But paring to the Orange Pi5 seems only to work over the 2.5 Ghz dongle of the Ri 4, but not over Bluetooth.
- Both the Ri mini 4 as well as the Rii 8 are not recommended for fast typing. But we do not know of an alternative for the Orange Pi 5 which would be better.
