Is the Orange Pi 5 more interesting for developers at the University level than the Raspberry Pi 5 & eventually also for young people (part III) – Joshua Riek’s Orange Pi 5 Ubuntu 22.04 image

Last Updated on January 13, 2024 by pg@petergamma.org

armbian has a community forum for the Orange Pi 5:

https://forum.armbian.com/forum/206-orange-pi-5-5b-5-plus/

  • but the forum master deleted posts of Peter Gamma who was interested in the development.
  • Is this a sign that armbian is not interested in the development of the Orange Pi 5?

An alternative is the Joshua Riek’s Orange Pi 5 Ubuntu 22.04 image

Joshua Riek’s Ubuntu 22.04 for Rockchip RK3588 Project started in february 2023 and is still active.

His project aims to provide a default Ubuntu 22.04 experience for Rockchip RK3588 devices, similar to what users may find on the popular Raspberry Pi 4.
