Is PiEEG interesting for developers at the university level?

As Adam Feuer from HackEEG:

Ildar Rakhmatulin, PhD is a skilled soft- and hardware devoper. He has developed extraordinary neural networks to detect weeds from crops. And he has published also papers how to develop Raspberry Pi’s for Killing Mosquitoes by Laser:

We highly appreciate Ildar Rakhmatulins contribution to the world of EEG devices. But we would like also to warn all who are interested in PiEEG, that this contribution eventually might be temporary. As the example of HackEEG has shown, devices like this seem not to have a very long lifespan. And we do not know if developers at the University are willing to risk to build their own developments on platforms which might disappear as they have been created.
