Is one Pi with Pi EEG 16 better than two Pi’s with two 8 channel EEG’s for 16 channels ? not urgently

Does a Greentek sleep cap make sense with PiEEG 8 channels?:

Is not Robert Oostenvelds Nike headband enough for this purpose?:

  • But if we want to dump OpenBCI in the year 2024, we need as a consequence Pi EEG 16 immediately. PiEEG 16 has been announced:

  • But we only believe this when it is available at Elecrow.
  • But to get 16 channels, we can have this also with 2x PiEEG 8 channels on 2x Pi’s.
  • The channels have to be sampled at exactly the same time:

  • If we have 2 Pi’s, can we then not read out the EEG data faster?
  • With PiEEG 16 we have to use daisy chain algorithms and read out one TI ADS1299 EEG chip after the other.
  • With two Pi’s we can sample the EEG data at exactly the same time on the two different Pis.
  • And then later on we can join the sensor data in one database.
  • PiEEG 16 would only be better is someone codes the software and is available.
  • But who offers this software?
  • We had in the past 32 EEG channels based on Front-End Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) ADS1299EEG-FE, but this was only a demo paper on researchgate.net:

  • And the code is not available to the present day.
