There alternatives on the market:
- MangoPi single core device
- are very cheap
- they run Armbian
- YouTube playback has issues, but who cares?
- browsers do not work, and it is difficult to get those to work, but who cares?
- just take to device, a low power single board computer, and a second device an Android phone to to the things which do not work on the low power single board computer
- MangoPi has also a 4 core alternative
- it is affordable
- Armbian does not work, but who cares
- Ubuntu sever can be installed on it, is this an option for you?
- but you can install Debian on it if you have the skills of NicoD’s Single Board Computers
- Choose an old second hand single board computers
- they can do most of the things the other devices also can
- the power consumption with those is higher as with low power single board computers
- we have to choose a bigger battery
- but we suppose this only a temporary phenomenon, sooner or later there will also low power single board computers be on the market which are attractive for buyers.
- but for who are devices interesting, if as soon as a reviewer writes a positive review about it, prices for these device increase? For the sellers, and not the reviewers and not the costumers
