In the future, the Meditation Research Institute Switzerland (MRIS) will only publish issues and projects which the MRIS has given up in the journal of the MRIS

There are a lot of issues in the field of mediation research

  • One issue is that all the physiological sensors we reviewed in our journal should be attached to Python and InfluxDB.
  • Brainflow did a great job by connecting for instance the Muse Headband and OpenBCI to Python and MNE Python
  • But attach physiological sensors to Python and InflluxDB is definitely a job for computer scientists, coders, and enthusiastic computer developers who do this for fun an in their spare time and for the week end, and not for us. And we want to make clear that we are not interested in specialized Python APIs, Cloud abos and Android apps developed especially for this purpose.
  • Projects which the MRIS has given up, for instance writing papers about sports sensor accuracy:
090. Review of Accuracy Studies of Consumer Grade Heart Rate Monitors: Methods, Testing Protocols, Reference Devices
  • can be taken over by engineers, which we welcome to do this. They are much more capable of doing this than physiologists like us.
