Pi screen use a lot of power as we have found out in our first tests:
An alternative is to use an Android phone as a Pi screen. Android phones are very power efficient and have great screens. It is possible to connect a Pi over usb-c to an iPad as Tech Craft has shown on his YouTube channel. But does this work also with an Android phone or tablet?
Tech Craft showed us how to do this on his YouTube channel at 7 min in the following video:
We have previously suggested solutions to use a usb HDM capture dongle:
or a ethernet cable to do this. But today we found out that Knowledge Hub from India already showed two years ago an instruction how to do this with an usb cable:
The video does not show a connection over usb-c as Tech Craft, but if this setup works satisfyingly, we are happy with it. Does it work for you?
