How to build a medical and research grade treadmill by ourselves which does not cost as much as a used Mercedes Benz B 180 (continued)?

Woodway does not list prices for medical grade treadmills from woodway – are the prizes too high to publish those since it lowers the sales rates?

  • motorized treadmills are usually not curved
  • On the other hand we find curved treadmills on Aliexpress starting from 400 USD
  • we can find non curved motorized treadmills from WOODWAY (4Front) for €16.600,50

But do we really need a medical and research grade treadmill at home which costs us much as a used Mercedes Benz B 180 with 22 800 km?

We suppose not, if we buy a used curved treadmill and add

  • a treadmill motor
  • an Arduino treadmill motor controller
  • an uplift mechanism
  • and connect it to your PC with your Python data analysis software
  • and add a Raspberry Pi speed sensor
  • and test if this treadmill can be used for medical and research applications for scientists with no grant for research or medical doctors which cannot charge it to the health insurance.

A while ago we wrote the science about treadmills sucks:

But we think it has become better after we did some science about which components could eventually be used to build a medical and research grade treadmill by ourselves. One of the key components seem to be if the quality of the device is good enough to connect it to a PC to do some science with it. Currently such devices are new available for about 10 000 USD. But we think by doing some experiments with these components and adding them by ourselves and test those costs can be reduced dramatically down to a view thousand dollars.

We than can add later on our ECG device. Also here do we really need 12 ECG channels to start with? Pi EEG with 4 channels should ship now for 250 USD:
