Heart rate and distance available in Lybrion Sobbers Apple Health Auto Export App

From Garmin watches, we are used to, that the parameter we are interested in, are not available in open platforms, as for instance in Home Assistant. Wellness data can be synchronized to Home Assistant on another path, which is easier than activity data which have to be synchronized over Strava.

We could take Rainer Blinds a Training tracker for a heart rate sensor and a foot pod. These are the most basic parameters to start with for us personally.

Now, we have seen that it is easier with Apple watches. The activity heart rate and the activity distance can be synchronized over the Apple Health Auto export app.

The heart rate comes from the Apple watch, and if we pair a Stryd foot pod to an Apple watch, the distance can be seen in Apple Health and synchronized over the Apple Health Auto Export app to Home Assistant an InfluxDB.

If we are able to stream the distance from a Stryd foot pod and the heart rate from an Apple watch to InfuxDB, we can start doing calculations there. The Apple Health Auto Export App in combination with Udo Berndts example about it are a good example to get to know Home Assistant and InfluxDB in combination with an Apple watch and a Stryd foot pod.
