- OpenBCI Cyton is 999 USD from OpenBCI USA
- the TI Kit is a bit more than 200 USD.
- Both devices have 8 channels.
- Unfortunately, the discussion was not open about this TI demo board in the EEVBLOG.
- Posters posted “we have to give you up”

If the EEVBLOG is a blog with the goal to keep costs high for EEG devices, then the EEVBLOG is the wrong place for us. We are trying to optimize costs especially for EEG devices. But if we are doing this in the EEVBLOG problems appear. If you are looking for low-cost high quality EEG devices, we found cheaper devices than from OpenBCI USA and from Texas Instruments. We have reviewed them in our journal.
