- We are trying to optimize costs especially for EEG devices, But if we try to do this in the OpenBCI forum, our tread is locked. Has OpenBCI the goal to keep costs high for EEG devices?
- There is a paper which studies the brain waves on a treadmill and compared brain waves during forward walking versus backward walking.
- The authors used the Texas Instruments ADS1299 EEG Front-End Performance Demonstration Kit (TI-ADS1299EEG-FE) to measure EEG signals. We started to discuss this kit in the open source OpenBCI community.
- OpenBCI Cyton is 999 USD from OpenBCI USA
- the TI Kit is a bit more than 200 USD.
- Both devices have 8 channels.
- Unfortunately, the discussion was not open about this TI demo board was not open in the OpenBCI forum, and the discussion tread about about the demo board was locked.
- There are EEG devices which are more affordable than the TI demo board, or better, HackEEG and OpenBCI on Aliexpress.
