HackEEG is a device with up to 32 EEG channels. It can be connected to the OpenBCI GUI.

HackEEG has Python client software with Lab Streaming Layer

“HackEEG’s Python client software can stream data via the standard neuroscience software communication protocol Lab Streaming Layer either on a single laptop computer or via Wi-Fi. This means you can stream HackEEG directly to your favorite neuroscience software or Matlab running on your laptop or remote computers, record data streams, and integrate HackEEG data with other data streams.”

Rasperri PI instead of a WIFI shield

OpenBCI Ganglion boards can be connected to a WIFI shield for sensor streaming over WIFI. The HackEEG can be connected to a Raspberry Pi for sending sending data over Lab Streaming Layer and WiFi:

OpenBCI is limited to 16 EEG channels. HackEEG is an OpenBCI alternative with up to 32 EEG channels. The standard OpenBCI GUI supports a max of 16 EEG channels. Here is the 32 channel version of OpenBCI GUI:

HackEEG is sold by Starcat high performance biosignals:

Publications with Hack EEG?

Starcat says HackEEG field-proven and is being successfully used for neuroscience research by an impressive list of organizations:

Unfortunately, I could not find any publications on Google Scolar which use HackEEG to this date:

A first functional test has been shown here with 32 channels. But only a few channels where connected to a signal generator. I miss a test of HackEEG with a 32 channels EEG working and showing physiological signals, and I miss a test of this device in a scientific journal.

“One other possibility for getting biosignals into the GUI:

Adam Feuer (Starcat and HackEEG), modified an (old old) version of the GUI to accept LSL LabStreamingLayer input streams. The current GUI and previous versions always supported OUTPUT of LSL, but not input. Feuer just added input capability.”

Do you use HackEEG?

Did someone recently receive any signs of life from Adam Feuer? I did not receive any. Does Adam Feuer a meditation retreat with his EEG setup?
