Dilgo Kihenzhe Rhinpoche has spent 13 years in solitary retreat meditating. Until he wanted to stay there for the rest of his life. But then he was told by his teacher to start teaching:
It was his family who brought him something to eat when he was meditating in a cave. Dilgo Kihenzhe Rhinpoche came from rich Tibetan Family. The Dilgo family directly descended from Tibet’s eighth-century King Trisong Detsen, and both his father and mother were children of ministers to the King of Dege, based in Derge.
And Jesus Christ as well as his followers most probably had rich supporters as well. Search for this information in the web.
In Matthew 6:26 it says
„Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?“
Not to have something to eat seemed not to be a big problem of Jesus. In his most famous prayer he says.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
So who wants from the spiritual teachers of today that they make money in the here and the now? Something which not even Jesus or Dilgo Kihenzhe Rhinpoche was able to do?
