Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org does not trust in Raspberry Pi Inc. anymore after what happened over the last years.
But there is one product on the market which is available since June 10, 2016, and is still available at Digitec Switzerland with 24 month warranty.
And that is the LattePanda V1.
It is 7 years old, but it allows booting from SSD and everything works with Ubuntu 16, and has an x86 processors for those who need one.
And it is eventually worth testing for our application:
