For those who want to restore a feature similar to usb access to your Android phone which was killed by Google in newer Android phones. This can be solved with the Pinephone:

  • Folder sharing is possible for instance if you miss the usb access to the external SD card in Android phones with Android 4.4. or older.

It requires some coding and there are several options available how to solve this with the Pinephone.
