• Polar Verity Sense before the firmware update: 20 hrs

• Polar Verity Sense after the firmware update: more than 24 hrs

Questions:

• Polar increased the battery life of the Verity Sense by only a firmware update. How was this done? This was not published by Polar in detail.

• Is the increase in battery life of the Verity Sense before the firmware update against the Polar OH1 optained by a bigger battery? Not kown.

• Is the increase in battery life of the Verity Sense before the firmware update against the Polar OH1 optained by better algorithms? Not kown.

• Is the increase in battery life of the Verity Sense before the firmware update to after the firmware update obtained by a bigger battery? No.

• Is the increase in battery life of the Verity Sense before the firmware update to after the firmware update obtained by better algorithms? The technical details are not published by Polar.

• Polar increased at least in the firmware update of the Verity Sense the battery life of the Verity Sense by only a firmware update, but not by a hardware change. How was this done in detail?

• The accuracy of the Polar OH1 was validated in at least three scientific papers whith numerical and statistical data.

• Whe could not find any scientific studies about the accuracy of the Polar Verity Sense yet (before and after the firmware update), exept for the scientific tests Rob ter Horst PhD did on his Youtube channel “the quantified scientist” (one subject).

• A study of the group of Dr. Milind Y. Desai and tests of Rob ter Horst, PhD. showed that the accuracy of some Apple watches is very high.

• The group of Dr. Milind Y. Desai showed that the Apple watch III was the closest to a Cardiac Science ECG device in their paper as far as accuracy is concerned.

• Rob ter Horst showed in his tests, that the accuracy of some Apple watches is higher than the accuracy of the Polar OH1 and the Verity Sense. How can this be? Apple watches are wrist based watches, Polar OH1 and Verity Sense are not wrist based. It was argued that non wrist bases heart rate sensors are more accurate than wrist based sensors.
