Do costs for EEG devices increase if someone writes reviews about those?

We reviewed this cap in our journal:

Initial price was about 200 USD for 8 channels and about 300 USD for 16 channels. Now, the price has risen to 300 USD for 8 channels and 460 USD for 16 channels. Do reviews about EEG devices lead to an increase of the price of these products? Are those so rarely sold that this is sufficient for an increase in price? Is this cap really worth this much money and will someone buy an EEG cap which costs this much?

The same happened to Tenocom EEG caps. They could be bought for about for 70 USD when we reviewed those. Now, a 64 ch model can be bought from US $576.10 on Aliexpress:

Who spends this much for a plastic EEG caps? Who did develop those? Is it someone who sells EEG caps for fun and in his spare time, and is not experienced with EEG caps? For the MRIS, the increase of the price of these EEG caps is not justified and we will not buy those.

This is one observation more, that the market for EEG devices is very small, it does not regulate itself, and seller react irrational. If our observations are true, reviewers are punished for writing reviews about EEG products by sellers who increase the prices for theses devices. The market for EEG devices is so small that we do not even have a sustainable community of reviewers.

The MRIS uses a Fenix 6 paired to a Polar OH1 for practicing meditation, and no EEG devices. The competition for sports watches is much bigger than for EEG devices. Sports sensors are further developed than EEG devices.

But what happens here is that neither sports watches nor EEG devices are interesting for physiogists like us which costs less than 2000 USD. Such devices are usually developed by people who have a qualification which is comparable to our qualificitation at the unversity level. But what happens here with devices which cost less than 2000 USD is something we cannot follow. Are there sellers
gambling to make money out of such devices?

If so, according to our own little experience, this is something which is almost not possible. And if some screws around at the prices of these devices all the time, they risk to loose their last reviewers and costumers.
