According to this table we can see how difficult it is to find in Switzerland an affordable single board computer for mobile application on which everything works:
The LattePanda V1 running Lubuntu is a candiate to solve this problem. The following video from Chris Titus Tech shows the installation of Lubuntu, which is very easy:
- It can be installed for instance on a old Acer one notebook.
- Lubuntu is a light weight Linux distribution with a barebone minimalistic environment.
- It runs faster than Windows and loads usually in about 30 sec.
- The example shows a PC with 1.5 GB memory.
- Lubuntu uses less than 400 MB, and is especially suitable for old hardware.
- There is an instruction from DF Robot how to install Lubuntu on the LattePanda V1:
- For other single board computers we do not have a light weight linux distro, for instance for the Mango Pi MQ quatt, we only have a full blown Debian for this small device.
- We do not know of any armbian SBC which supports touch
- The LattePanda V1 with Lubuntu and the 7 inch DFRobot touch overlay supports touch.
- Lubuntu is suitable for beginners.
- It has little overhead.
