Can the Muse headband, the Garmin and OpenBCI be used for clinical and research applications?

We ask ourselves this questions, and if we ask ourselves this question, that makes us laugh. Will someone take us seriously, if we announce that we use the Muse headband, the Garmin and OpenBCI for clinical and research applications? We strongly doubt about this.

There are papers published by really serious athletes like Dr. Marco Altini from HRV4Training:

And we have no reason to doubt about the quality of the papers of Dr. Marco Altini. But we doubt about to be taken serious by other scientists, if we announce that we do clinical and research applications with the Garmin watch, the Muse Headband and OpenBCI.
