After 4 000 posts of Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org is asking this questions. This picture shows French philospher Jean-François Revel:
Does Francous Revel not remind of really serious bankers from Zurich who don’t smile when we look at this picture? Or similar to lawyers from the Bahnhofstrasse
not in in Zurich, but in Wil (SG):

But do we not appreciate him and the bankers from Zurich who don’t smile exactly for that reason that they are really serious about what they do?
Jean-François Revel discussed with his son Matthieu Ricard:
The Monk and the Philosopher: A Father and Son Discuss the Meaning of Life
Revel said in the above book about sprituality, monk and the philosophers basically:
Sprituality
is neither proofen nor disproofen.
it is difficult to proof or disproof,
we don t know.
And can we not say the same about many open questions regarding spirituality & meditation in general? But does this make spirituality and meditation less interesting, if we do not have a scientific proof at the highest level, and a break-through by Richard R. Davidson at the level of a Nobel Prize in Medicine? Where not many spiritual teachers and teachings helpful for us personally all the same?
