We Are Looking for a Talha Iqbal Who Tests Whether The Matlab Respiratory Rate Estimation Toolbox Also Runs in Octave

  • Unfortunately, we currently have not time to test it ourselves
  • Peter H. Charlton did not comment on this question we asked to him
  • EEGLAB for instance runs in Octave, but EEGLAB developer Arnaud Delorme recommends to use the compiled version of Matlab to use EEGLAB which can be downloaded.
  • EEGLAB is also a Matlab Toolbox, like the Respiratory Rate Estimation Toolbox, but much more complex. Therefore we suppose that the situation for the Respiratory Rate Estimation Toolbox is the same as for EEGLAB
  • Eventually it is better to stick to one (Matlab) Toolbox, which is supported by Peter H. Charlton, than to have another Python Toolbox
  • R-R peak data are required for the Matlab Respiratory Rate Estimation Toolbox
  • With the Polar Sensor Logger App from Jukka Happonen, we have R-R peaks from the Polar H7 or Polar H10 chest strap
  • Eventually, also P-P peak data from the Polar OH1 work
