AJ Keller from Neurosity showed demos of the OpenBCI WIFI shield, and is as far as we know the developer of the WIFI shield.
AJ Keller has left OpenBCI and founded together with Alex Castillo Neurosity.
We have studied the OpenBCI WIFI shield, which in principle should be capable for MQTT transmission, the code is there. But we do not know of anyone who uses it.
MQTT for OpenBCI was not developed further, since there is as far as we know no standard protocol for EEG transmission over MQTT, but over LSL.
Neurosity devices use WIFI transmission. We do not know of any MQTT applications for Neurosity. Neurosity sais they connected their EEG sensors as close as possible to a powerful mini PC.
Among the interfaces Neurosity is LSL.
OpenBCI does not offer LSL over WIFI, LSL over WIFI it is brocken in OpenBCI.
