We do not know of Linux phones and SBCs which do not have any issues. But there are Linux phones and SBCs with positive qualities, as for instance:

The PinePhone

• most of the features Pinephone developer Martijn Braam shows seem to work
• for most issues we had with the Pinephone we had support in the Pine64 forum

The main issues for us personally are

• high shipping costs and import taxes to Switzerland
• the Pinephone was criticized for it’s poor battery life and it’s poor software support

• Keep in mind, it took us about three weeks to install LibreOffice on the PinePhone, working everyday a litte bit on it, although we had good support from the Pine64 forum:

• How is it with the next application we want to install on the Pinephone?

Rasperry Pi

• a positive quality is the community Raspberry Pi’s have
• there are tons of insructions for Raspberry Pi’s
• It has 10 years of software developement behind it.

The main issues for us personally

• hardly available
• no Raspberry Pi 5 since several years
• We cannot follow the procedure how Raspberry Pi Inc. deals with customers who use the device for private use.
