We invite product seller of OpenBCI modules on eBay & Aliexpress as well as product sellers of PiEEG to offer demo devices to YouTube video makers to have a positive effect on the development of these devices

Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org wrote about 500 posts about single board computers in recent years to find alternatives to Raspberry Pi’s. Out of these 500 posts, only 4 single board computers remained which fit’s for his needs.

This was a lot of work. And Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org would like to thank all the YouTube video makers for their work. During Corona, the situation with single board computers was very unsatisfying. Now it has become better. We found with Orange single board computers an alternative to Raspberry Pi’s which fit our needs.

Not very satisfying was also the situation with Linux phones. There was a lot of interest in those phones, mainly into the Pinephone. But what came out of it is rather disappoining. Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org has reviewed a lot about the Pinephone as well:

https://petergamma.org/category/pinephone

The Pinephone, a Linux phone which was first glorified then demonized. I invested a lot of time in the phone, without using it for a single day, and finally retreated from the Pinephone, and decided for single board computers instead. There is only little competition among the Linux phones, and what is offered is not very interesting for us personally.

And the situation is also not very satysfying with low-cost high-quality EEG devices as well. As far as we know several papers which where written about products from www.openbci.com where written with demo devices which where offered by the manufacturer. And we invite manufacturers such as PiEEG to follow these examples.

For instance in the example of single board computers, a market which is strongly saturated, mainy YouTube video makers test and review the issues of these devices, as for instance Leepspvideo from U.K. who is an expert on Raspberry Pi.

But for instance in this example BIGTREETECH from China has sent Leepspvideo from U.K. several devices to review:

The market for single board computes is strongly saturated. There are tons of single board computers on the market. But there are also tons of YouTube video makers who test those. And after writing 500 posts about single board computers, 4 came out which are still interesting for Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org:

Less satisfying is the situation with low-cost high-quality EEG devices. About three years ago, OpenBCI modules came onto the marked on eBay and Aliexpress. And now we have PiEEG, Jetson Nano EEG and Arduino EEG:

But we now litte about this low-cost high-quality EEG devices. Do they work, do they have issues, and how can these be resolved? The market is saturated here as well.

Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org has found 3 competing platforms which fit’s for his needs:

We suppose it is very difficult to increase prices for such EEG devices as it has recently been done with the Neurosity Crown without loosing costumers:

Would more reviews for instance by YouTube video makers or paper writers not make these EEG devices more interesting for all, and would help the further development of these devices? Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org is not interested in demo devices. But we suppose there are many demo maker out there which would be interested in demo devices.

And we invite for instance the seller of OpenBCI modules sold on eBay and Aliexpress as well as PiEEG to offer demo devices to Youtube video makers. Since who buys a low-cost high-quality EEG device such as OpenBCI modules sold on eBay and Aliexpress, or products from PiEEG without a proof of function?
