Bitalino ECG, HRV, R-R peaks, Bitalino Matlab Toolbox, Respiratory Rate Estimation, Octave, and further components

Bitalino has many demos about ECG devices. Bitalino is a single-lead ECG device, and a great device to start with to use ECG. It offers Lab Streaming Layer support, Heart Rate Variability (HRV) Add-on, to get heart rate, HRV or R-R peak data. But we don t need urgently the Add-on. There is a Matlab toolbox for Bitalino. The EEGLAB Matlab toolbox runs also in the compiled version of Matlab, which is free, or in Octave, therefore we suppose that the Bitalino Toolbox, which is much simpler than EEGLAB also runs in Octave and the compiled version of Matlab. Peter H. Charlton Respiratory Rate Estimation Matlab Toolbox is an option which can be tested with this setup, which most probably also work with Octave and the compiled version of Matlab. Bitalino has Lab Streaming Layer Support, OpenBCI has Lab Streaming Layer Support, LSL is supported by the Swartz Center of Computational Neuroscience, supported interfaces are attractive. The InfluxDB client for Python is supported by InfluxDB. All these components can be connected to our data logger:

Some of these components can replace devices which are very expensive. Demos, student projects, Research Gate papers and also other papers about these components would be very helpful. All of these components are great components, and we thing that it worth to test and develop these further.
