Beati pauperes spiritu – happy are the poor in spirit

The well-known quote is used in the Asterix adventures with “Blessed are the poor in spirit.” translated. In fact, the original is “Happy are the poor in spirit.” from the Bible (Matthew 5:3).

Happy are the poor in spirit, and we are convinced that also the poor in spirit have high gamma waves in the left prefrontal cortex if measured with Richard Davidsons brain scanners. But does this make those to spiritual teachers as Buddha, Jesus Christ and Mohammed?

The interpretation of the phrase: “Happy are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven”:

Is not a person who takes Psilocybin also a person who is poor in spirit and believes that he is in heaven on earth?
