Arnaud Delorme published several examples about this topic:
This shows, that it is possible in principle. But we do not know any scientific papers which use the Muse headband with Mind Monitor and EEGLAB to write scientific papers. We know of any university teachers who used the Mind Monitor to teach at universities. They can be found in this journal.
Is this because Arnaud Delorme already has better EEG devices to write scientific papers?
Also for LSL we did not find a convincing solution. None of which his helpful in a convincing way. Muse 1 LSL developed by Arnaud Delorme was based on the Muse SKD, which was pulled from the marked, and is contolled by Interaxon, which makes LSL for Muse 1 not helpful for our purpose.
Muse 2 LSL from Alexandre Barachant was developed by him and one of his friends over the week-end for fun and in his spare time. It has issues, some of them are resolved, some of them are not resolved. And we do not know of any scientific papers which use Muse 2 LSL.
The Muse SKD was pulled from the market. Was it because Arnaud Delome was interested in it. The Muse headband was as far as we know developed by a medical doctor. Is he a skilled software engineer which is skilled enough to support software for the Swartz Center of Computational Neuroscience?
But Without Muse SDK, this EEG device is incomplete for our purpose. Has this been done on purpose in cooperation with other EEG device manufacturers, do force us to buy expensive g.tec medical devices, which remain one of the views which are interesting for us personally. But unfortunately, they are very expensive.
Most of the devices which we reviewed are interesting for testing. But on the long term, building them themselves also.
