Are some of the papers which are published about consumer grade heart monitors controlled by international marketing agencies who coordinate testing protocols so that data from different scientific studies cannot be compared to each other?

If we look at the testing protocols:

In none of the papers we know a protocol was chosen which was reproduced in a second paper. Was this done so that the data from different papers cannot be compared to each other, since the marketing agencies who offered demos for such papers knew previously that data from smartwatches can only poorly be reproduced?
