Altered Traits: Science Reveals How Meditation Changes Your Mind, Brain, and Body:

But is «Altered Traits», that meditation changes the brain not something that everyone would expect?

One of the first experiments providing evidence for the neuroplasticity phenomenon was conducted in 1793, by Italian anatomist Michele Vicenzo Malacarne, who described experiments in which he paired animals, trained one of the pair extensively for years, and then dissected both.

Up until the 1970s, neuroscientists believed that the brain’s structure and function was essentially fixed throughout adulthood.[20]

But do not neuroscientists since then know about neuroplasticity, and today even
Mingyur Rinpoche?:

And there are other scientists who found out about neuroplasticty, not only Richard Davidson. And not only meditation changes the brain, experience in general changes the brain:

But are there any new and striking findings since Richard Davidsons PNAS paper from 2004 about meditation?:

Exept that a daily pracitice of 20 min changes our brain in an objectively measurable way? But are these changes of a 20 min. practice relevant for our daily lifes, and for someone else than the book publishers who sell books about how meditation changes your brain?
