According to the specifiations of the board, it offers 32 EEG channels and 24 bit A/D conversion:

This is the same bitrate OpenBCI has. An issue of the board is, that there is no standard interface for EEG software. It has only a Keil software, and the interface needs to be coded, and has to be read out in two steps.

But as soon as there is a software interface available, the board beats OpenBCI: it has WIFI support and 32 channels. William Crofts OpenBCI recomments Bluetooth transmission, has no WIFI support and has only up to 16 channels.

The software interface could be LSL. The software could be OpenBCI GUI. Adam Feuer has an old OpenBCI GUI version which offers 32 channels input.

Infortunately, it has no BrainFlow support, which is an alternative. But as far as we know, it should also be possible to write a BrainFlow interface by ourselves. But if BrainFlow does not code an interface, and nobody writes in interface, wo do not urgently need BrainFlow or LSL, we can connect the Keil software directly to our EEG software.

Krisztián Hofstädter observed an increase in alpha wave activity induced by listening to music:

An increase in alpha waves can also be observed with the Muse headband and the Mind Monitor. But Krisztián Hofstädter had a very good alpha signal in this example. With the mind monitor, the alpha signal is much noisier. Krisztián uses an OpenBCI setup with 8 channels. But if we are interested in localized gamma wave activity, a 32 channel EEG board as the board described here is better.

The price of the Aliexpress 32 channel board is not stable. It first was around 550 USD, is is now about 1200 USD. We suppose it was adapted to the price for the Emotiv Epoc Flex 32 control box, when it was released.

But if this board follows the example of single board computers, it does not work, else they would have shown a demo on Aliexpress.

But if you want to buy it and test it, go for it. You have got 75 days money back warranty for the board which is sold on Aliexpress.
