“Considering the continuous data, 89.2% of all 10-second intervals obtained by the Polar OH1 were within 5% from the Polar H10. The Polar OH1 measured the least accurate data (76.7%) during the household chores, whereas the most accurate HR measurements (99.3%) were observed during the running activity.”
Is the Polar H10 an optimal device to validate the accuracy of the Polar OH1 during household chores? Is it not better to choose an ECG device for this purpose?
The Mediation Research Institute Switzerland already tested the use of the Polar H10 during household chores. It is not very comfortable to wear 24 * 7, and need to be moistured regularly. If you do not moisture the Polar H10 chest strap regularly during household chores, you risk to loose the heart rate signal of the Polar H10, and risk to record artifacts. ECG electrodes are more comfortable to wear and can be taped to your body.
