A view years ago, I was upset about Matlab supporter Adam Danz – but what he did then doesn’t bother me today

Matlab supporter Adam Danz deleted all of my posts in the Matlab forum:

At that time, I was an open minded scientist, open for Matlab, but also Python. And I asked question in the Matlab forum, which is open for everyone. But when I asked in the Matlab forum:

“Is Scott W. Harden, the developer of the Sound Card ECG still alive?

And I answered this question by myself:

“You can see it on his GITHUB page.”

https://github.com/swharden

This is what Scott answered when I asked him this question. Scott is very active on his GITHUB page, even today as you can see.

Scott W Harden was diagnosed with cancer in 2012 (peripheral T-cell lymphoma, PTCL-NOS) and began treatments in 2018 including chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and an autologous bone marrow transplant in 2019. His medical journey is chronicled on:

https://swharden.com/med

Scott W. Harden writes:

June 11, 2024: Five years have passed since I left the bone marrow transplant unit, and I am happy to report that I am still healthy! My immune system never fully recovered, but I’m stable now, and couldn’t be happier with my outcome and the amazing medical team that supported me along the way. Although there will always be a chance that my weird immune system may act up again and require further treatment, the longer I go without issue the less likely that becomes. I’m looking forward to enjoying my life and am excited about my future!

But Matlab supporter Adam Danz had no compassion with Scott W. Harden and what I wrote about him in the Matlab forum. On the contrary, he deleted all of my about 30 questions in the Matlab forum, when I asked the question in the Matlab forum “Is Scott W. Harden, the developer of the Sound Card ECG still alive?” And Adam Danz commented about it:

“clearly a spammer”

And also my questions about the post deletion where deleted together with some Matlab co-supporters after I asked those. I could have contacted my lawyer, but I decided against it. It was not worth it for me peronally to fight for every question I asket in the Matlab forum together with my lawyer.

But what Danz did doesn’t bother me anymore today. My main development is the Raspberry Pi zero 2 w, and Matlab does not run on it. And do not most skilled coder say today: why Matlab? Python can do this as well and does not require the expensive licence from Matlab.

Now I am only upset about products based on the ADS1299 EEG chip from Texas Instruments. You can find the reason about it here:

https://petergamma.org/tag/ads1299

But for how long will I be upset about products based on the ADS1299 EEG chip from Texas Instruments? I currently do not know anyone else than me, who still is interested in products based on the ADS1299 EEG chip from Texas Instruments such as HackEEG and PiEEG. Where are all the smart electronics engineers from the Swiss Federal Insitute of Technology in Zurich who still use it? Do they not all use InfluxDB?:

As I will use InfluxDB in a view years from now? So I will turn off now the light for the ADS1299 EEG chip from Texas Instruments:
