Is Rob ter Horst interested in finding the most accurate optical heart rate sports watch or interested to have the most views on YouTube?

We are convinced that Rob is interested to reach to most views, and not to find out about the truth.

If he wanted to find out about the truth, he would have studied the literature concerning this topic. A lot about this has been discussed in this journal.

The information which we found here let us retreat from optical heart rate watches. According to the literature 3 lead ECG are gold standard for HRM measurement for runs on the treadmill with speeds up to 15 km/h, and also for our application.

As long as we do not have any clear scientific proof in a high quality scientific journal which proofs the high accuracy of optical sports watches, there will always be a doubt about the accuracy of these devices. Questions will come, why we did not choose 3 lead ECG gold standard for HRM measurement devices, which are gold standard for runs on the treadmill with speeds up to 15 km/h, and also for our own application, which is practicing meditation and studying the effect on physiological parameters.
