Does Rob ter Horst use two Polar H10 chest as reference device instead of a 3 lead ECG reference as a cheap trick, so that he cannot see that Apple watches will never be as accurate as a 3 lead ECG gold standard reference device for HR measurement?

We cannot follow at all the arguments of Rob ter Horst to choose 2 Polar H10 chest strap as reference device. There are enough other studies with ECG devices which show at least for speeds up to 15 km/h, that 3 lead ECG devices are gold standard for HRM measurements:

We are convinced that it is a failure for Rob ter Horst, and also to the sports watch manufacturers who finance Rob ter Horst to ignore studies from the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, which show that clincial ECG devices are much more accurate than Apple watches.

Using two Polar H10 chest strap looks like a cheap trick to cheat costumers of sports watches which do not know about scientific accuracy studies of sports watches we reviewed here
