Scientists failed to establish a generally accepted standard for sports sensor accuracy validation

We have three scientists who did sports sensor accuracy validation studies:

1. Cardiologist Dr. Milind Desai from Cleveland Clinic in Ohio:

2. Thomas Wyss, PhD. Assistant rector of the Swiss Federal Institute of Sport Magglingen SFISM:

3.) Rob ter Horst, founder of the YouTube channel “the Quantitative Scientist” & Post-Doctoral Researcher at CeMM Research Institute for Molecular Medicine, Vienna, Austria

We have three scientist from three different research institutes from around the world who did sports sensor accuracy validation studies, and there are many more, as you can see on this list:

Unfortunately, these three scientists who are very influential failed to establish a generally accepted standard to validate sports sensors which is accepted all over the world with standard methods, standard protocols and reference devices.

Especially with the latest sports sensor watches, we do not have the data for all watches tested with the best equipment which is available, which are research and medical grade ECG devices:

to test their accuracy.

This is an unsatisfying situation for scientists who want to use these devices for scientific studies.
