Because they where designed by someone who has the goal to make money out of those. And often we experienced, that developers made a big effort to prevent users to access sensor data from these devices. This makes those so uninteresting for us personally, that we gave almost all of them.
To start building new ECG, PPG, EEG, etc. sensor devices takes a lot of time. If we would set ourselves the goal to build those, and calculate the costs which are required to build those, they would cost as much as the expensive devices which are already on the market.
The projects which remain interesting for us personally, are devices which are as much as possible open source hardware and software low-cost high-quality devices, which have community, which does not have any commercial, personal or professional interest in those, which brings those people tho harm other people in one or in the other way.
