  • we suppose that this is an issue free WIFI device
  • there is a demo shown with the signals, where no packet loss and noise spiking can be seen
  • we miss tests which are independent from the manufacturer
  • $668.63 is a lot of money, if the device has only a 75 day money back guarantee
  • it is saver for costumers to buy single components, where the risk is lower, as a complete device for 670 USD
  • we do not know of users who use this device and confirm that they are using it
  • there are a lot of versions of OpenBCI on Aliexpress. But we cannot see a stragety behind this. Are these demos developed by manufacturers and sold on Aliexpress?
  • are these developers similar to the developers at www.openBCI.com , who develop devices, and then sell them on Aliexpress?
  • we suppose that there are developers somewhere who study the market of OpenBCI devices, and sell their products on Aliexpress. But the market for EEG devices is small. And the stragety of these sellers unclear
  • much could be done by optimizing these devices for low cost high quality, and sell individual components
  • this would dilute the business, but this is eventually the only market which is available on the long term
  • devices which are not optimized for low-cost high-quality will loose market shares
