– We went quickly trough the different Aliexpress OpenBCI stores, to find an updated WIFI shield form a seller with good ratings.

– We found the timmy Store with 95.6 % costumer satisfaction.

– He has a 16 channel improved WIFI version for 658.92 USD:

– there are many Aliexpress shops which offer OpenBCI products. Some of them seem to be very creative. They make all kinds of modifcations, usb-c, different kind of housings, different kind of combinations of daisy and cyton.

– the problem with those components is, are they tested an do they work?

We are interested on the long term in EEG components. Our preferred choice is an affordable 8 channel OpenBCI Cyton board with a WIFI shield which is tested an working.

8 channel Cyton modules with WIFI shield can be connected over the WIFI shield to Home Assistant. If we can find affordable components, we can combine multiple modules in InfluxDB. If we do not get all the parameters there, eventually we can do without.

We currently cannot find this combination somewhere. We have a lot of different options available in these stores. But we cannot find what we want. Maybe it is worth to get the Gerber files for ourselves and try to find out, if we can let manufacture those components ourslelves and test those ourselves.
