Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche is the spiritual head of the Shechen Monastery in Nepal

Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche:
„Why Tibet has so many great masters? If you look at the situation in Tibet, out of the 6 million Tibetans, more than 10 percent became monks and Lamas who are practicing. Tibet has many great masters. Just like Brasilian out of such a large population they have the 12 best football players. Tibet produces not the world best football players but, the world great spiritual masters

Daniel Golemann calls those “Olympic Level Meditators”:

Richard R Davidson compared ordinary brain waves to brain waves of Mingour Rhinpoche:

Do we have there a scientific proof of the statement of Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche? Unfortunately not. Richard Davidson was only able to compare brain waves of ordinary people with the brain waves of long-term practitioners.

Diego Hangartner, a pharmacologist from Switzerland who also teaches meditation and who as spent 11 years in Dharamsala in India, the main seat of the Dalai Lama the 14 th says in the following video, we cannot mesure how happy a person is:

We can only compare the brain waves of ordinary people to people with long-term meditation practitioners. Diego Hangartner did and does also take part in these scientific studies about meditation. So we have no absolute values, we have only relative values which we can compare to eacht other.

So unfortunately we do not have a scientific proof of the satement of Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche. But is statement might be true all the same. Eventually the scientific tools and studies are too limited at the present moment.

Another evidence that the statement of Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche might be true is that football player fill football stades with audience. But the Spritual Leader of the Tibetan the Dalai Lama the 14 th fills football stades with audience as well, as can be seen in the following video:

And is this not an evidence that Shechen Rabjam Rinpoches statement might be true? To become a football world champions does need a lot of training. But how it is to become a great spritual master? Does it take a lot of training as well?
