How to read, write and delete data in InfluxDB with Python
  • This is still quiet tricky. But after we have learned this, this is the end of our interest in products based on outdated chips such as the ADS1299 EEG chip from Texas Instruments
  • Since we can add sensor by sensor to InfluxDB
  • We have already a hardware platform which is the Orange Pi 5 which runs Ubuntu and can simultaneously run Home Assistant
  • Home Assistant has a large community
  • And Home Assistant is a good starting point to learn about real-time databases also for physiologists
  • Home Assistant has many integrations for smartwatches
  • smartwatches are of limited use for scientific studies
  • but they are physiological multi-sensor devices
  • So Home Assistant can be used to learn about real-time databases
